The OFDP Framework will be a practical tool for the digital design community to create, validate, and share regenerative, values-led work. The ultimate goal is to ensure clear principles and tools to guide projects toward positive, regenerative impact for people and planet.

This is more than a tool; it’s a collective act of designing a better future — one where our work reflects the values we believe in and the world we want to live in.
The process

Initially our focus will be to open up a space for deep listening and collaborative imagining. Through workshops, conversations, and shared research, we’ll bring together designers, agencies, organisations, and experts from across disciplines to explore what regenerative design truly means in practice.
We’ll gather insights from our community, map out the challenges and opportunities, and begin shaping the guiding principles of the Our Future Design Projects Framework. Early prototypes and drafts will emerge from this process—not as fixed solutions, but as invitations for feedback, refinement, and collective authorship.
This year is about building trust, recognising diverse perspectives, and laying the foundations of a framework that is grounded, dynamic, and deeply participatory.

Building upon the foundations, the ideas begin to take shape in real-world contexts. We’ll pilot the evolving framework with live projects and real teams, learning what works, what needs rethinking, and how the framework can truly support better, more regenerative design outcomes.
These practical trials, alongside peer feedback and review, will help us shape the final version. We’ll build supporting tools, guidance and training, and integrate the framework into the wider Our Future Design System.
Finally there will be the public launch, celebrating the collective effort behind the framework and inviting continued involvement. This isn’t an endpoint—it’s the beginning of an ongoing, open process of learning, evolving, and designing for a future we all want to live in.
